Jonathan Healey is Associate Professor in Social History at the University of Oxford. He works on poverty, economic development, popular political history, and rural history from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
He went to school in Lancaster, UK, and studied for his BA and DPhil at Magdalen College, Oxford. He is based at Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education, where he directs their Undergraduate Advanced Diploma in Local History via the Internet He is a fellow of Kellogg College, Oxford’s newest and most forward-looking college.
